The Institut français programmes and projects
On 10 December 2019, the Institut français is launching a brand new version of its film distribution platform developed by ARTE.
Initiated by Emmanuel Macron, the President of the French Republic, the Africa2020 Season will take place throughout France (mainland and overseas territories) from June 1st to mid-December 2020. Dedicated to the 54 states of the African continent, the Africa2020 Season is an extraordinary project. Designed around the major challenges of the 21st century, it will present the views of the African civil society and its recent diaspora. Africa2020 will be the sounding board for the changemakers who are impacting contemporary societies.
After the success of its first edition in February 2019, the VR Arles Festival is once again coming to Paris for a weekend.
The event, which takes place from 13 to 16 November 2019, takes place in Luxembourg where 100 film industry professionals meet each year.
The first cinema under the MK2 brand in the city centre of the Spanish capital, the Institut français de Madrid, which has been digitised in 2015 with the support of CNC, French national center for cinema, has renovated its cinema hall for the greatest comfort of its audiences and concluded an agreement with the famous MK2 network, recently established in Spain.
