Every year, on the last Thursday of January, the Institut français invites all places of culture and knowledge, in France and across the world, to celebrate the free circulation of ideas and knowledge.
Launched in 2016, at an exceptional evening in Paris which brought together major French and international voices invited to engage in dialogue around the major challenges of our time, the Night of Ideas quickly became an established event on the French and international calendar by offering, all on the same night, lectures, meetings, forums, round tables, as well as screenings, artistic performances, etc. around a common theme, which each location approaches in their own way.
