"Machines à bulles" exhibition
These new narrative and reading territories make it possible to explore literary creation from new perspectives and to transform our relationships to books, paper and digital “machines”.
A hotbed of creation for comics, France stands out on the international stage for its creative dynamism and the quality of its products. French scenewriters, illustrators, publishers and producers are currently taking on new technologies and striving to produce new kinds of works. From box to pixel, comic book creators are constantly experimenting with new forms of storytelling, playing with the codes of sequential narration.
Through the "Machines à Bulles” exhibition, the Institut français and the exhibition commissioner Colombine Depaire offer audiences the chance to discover a selection of works illustrating new reading experiences that demonstrate the rich, unique character of French creation. The aim of this exhibition, the layout of which is light and flexible, is to offer the cultural network a variable corpus of works that will find new audiences internationally.
A complete exhibition kit will be sent to the French cultural network representatives that sent their request via IFprog. Suggestions for workshops and events to accompany the Machines à Bulles exhibition will also be included in the exhibition kit.
