« Machines à lire » (Reading Machines) Exhibition

Members of French diplomatic network
Digital technology removes barriers between disciplines and forces us to rethink the relationship between authors and readers. These new narrative and reading territories make it possible to explore literary creation from new perspectives and to transform our relationships to books, paper and digital "machines".

France stands out on the international stage for its creative dynamism and the quality of its products. French authors, publishers, producers and creators are currently taking on new technologies and working to produce new kinds of works.

Through the "Reading Machines” exhibition, the Institut français allows audiences to discover a selection of works illustrating new reading experiences that demonstrate the rich, unique character of French creation.
The aim of this exhibition, the layout of which is light and flexible, is to offer the cultural network a variable corpus of iconic works that will find new audiences internationally.
