Having received the César for Most Promising Actress for Games of Love and Chance (“L’Esquive”) by Abdellatif Kechiche, Sarah Forestier approaches the ranks of the great (Bertrand Blier, Alain Resnais, Claude Lelouch, Jacques Doillon, etc.).

Sarah Forestier began her cinema career very early, with many small roles, and in 2005 she received the César for Most Promising Actress in recognition of her role in Games of Love and Chance by Abdellatif Kechiche. Gifted with an attractive energy, she works with major directors (Blier, Resnais Lelouch, Deville, etc.), and in 2011 won the César for Best Actress in recognition of her fantastic performance in the comedy The Names of Love (“Le Nom des gens”) by Michel Leclerc.

In 2015, she appeared in Standing Tall (“La Tête haute”, a film by Emmanuelle Bercot, which opened the Cannes 2015 festival, and she produced her first feature film (M) in 2017.
