Officially inaugurated on 12 February 2022, the France-Portugal 2022 Season seeks to give the French public the opportunity to meet the many faces of modern Portugal and to take a fresh look at its neighbour. The implementation of the French portion has been entrusted to the Institut français.

The Institut français is posting a series of short stories on its social networks every Friday. 

In the context of confinement that still affects many countries, the « Des/confinés » programme offers weekly meetings with cultural figures on social networks.

Europe Day has been marked on 9 May since 1985 to commemorate the Schuman Declaration of 9 May 1950, considered the cornerstone of the European project. On this occasion, the Institut français is highlighting European players from very different backgrounds!

Located in the Goutte d’Or district in Paris, the Institut des Cultures d’Islam is among the headquarters of the Africa2020 Season.

For their third edition, the online open-studios of the recipients of the Institut français / Cité internationale des arts residency programme are back on the Institut français Instagram account. From 22 to 24 March 2021, see the work and research of these artists-in-residence in Paris.

On Monday 8 March 2021, for the International Women’s Day, the Institut français is giving you the opportunity to discover women who fight for women’s rights through culture, initiatives aiming to promote egality, or works that question women’s status in France and throughout the world.

The artists in residence through the programme of the Institut français at the Cité internationale des arts will be featured from December 7 to 10, on the Facebook and Instagram pages of the Institut français.

On Saturday 28 November 2020 from 5pm to midnight, Télérama and Le Centquatre have teamed up, in partnership with the Institut français, to give the opportunity to twenty or so artists to speak. The event has been named “Jour d’artistes” (Artists Day), and will be relayed on this page. 

On Thursday, April 2, 2020, the recipients of the Institut français / Cité internationale des arts programme shared their residency experiences on the social networks. Follow this digital journey to the heart of their studios!

The greatest French artists will be on-stage in your living room from 5th June to 16th July, as part of the French Waves online festival. 

18 artists in residence at the Cité internationale des arts open the doors to their workshops. Coming from all over the world, they will share with the public their work in progress and their experiences of residency in France.
