The Institut français programmes and projects
In the current context of an international health crisis, the entire cultural network abroad is working to ensure the continuity of its services and missions. In particular, given the closure of many establishments, alternative solutions are being implemented every day to maintain the link with the public, offer educational continuity, and maintain actions related to cultural promotion, dissemination and cooperation.
With the aim of sharing the responses provided by the network more widely throughout the world, the Institut français proposes to list the initiatives developed to address this situation.
This first brief list will be completed quickly and regularly updated.
In the context of the current sanitary crisis, the Institut français has closed the doors of its Paris location since March 16th, in order to protect the health of its employees. From now on, all the members of staff are working remotely to best fulfill its public service missions, to support and accompany all of its partners, especially the French cultural network abroad.
In addition to his 10 novels and 15 collections of poetry, Yves Mabin Chennevière leaves a singular legacy, that of having been the founding father of the French policy of circulating books and ideas throughout the world. He died in Paris on June, 18, at the age of 77.
The internet is full of opportunities for artists, authors and producers who are cultural specialists.
In its role of supporting this large group of professionals, the Institut français offers you a selection of programmes, training courses and resources implemented to facilitate and promote the activities of the cultural and creative industries.
More and more of you are asking us about the situation of the Cultural and Creative Industries’ export markets in real time, and the opportunities not to be missed after the crisis! Team France Export and Business France, in collaboration with Cultural Services and the Ministry of Culture, offer you a report on the business situation in several countries, as well as an analysis of the solutions to best prepare your international recovery.
To this end, a programme of three free webinars based on geographical information has been designed to go beyond the information available online and to respond to all French cultural entrepreneurs, in particular those who already have activities in these countries, on specific situations and opportunities in international markets.
