The Institut français programmes and projects
The project presented by the artist Zineb Sedira in the French Pavilion at the Venice Art Biennale extends beyond the presentation of the work in situ from 23 April to 27 November 2022. The resonances of the project begin upstream, continue through the biennale and long afterwards.
The resonances echo the artistic project of the pavilion and give visibility to the artist and the curators.
All over the world, from the AFAA (Association française d'action artistique) to CulturesFrance, now part of the Institut français, we are happy to make known the ideas, works and expertise of French creators who are always eager to enrich themselves and flourish in the company of other cultures.
A look back on the visit to France of Mr. Antonio Costa, Prime Minster of Portugal, as part of the France-Portugal 2022 Season and the inaugurations of the “L’âge d’or de la Renaissance portugaise” (The Golden Age of the Portuguese Renaissance) exhibition at the Louvre Museum, “Le reste est ombre (The rest is shadow) – Pedro Costa, Rui Chafes, Paulo Nozolino” at the Centre Pompidou, and “Gulbenkian par lui-même, dans l’intimité d’un collectionneur” (Gulbenkian by himself, the intimate world of a collector) in the gallery dedicated to the temporary exhibitions of the Collection Al Thani at the Hôtel de la Marine.
