The Institut français programmes and projects
Initiated by the French Ministry of Culture, the Forum « Entrepreneurship in Culture » (« Entreprendre dans la Culture ») aims to provide practical and concrete information to cultural actors. It promotes innovative projects led by French cultural entrepreneurs.
Due to the health crisis, the 2020 edition of the Forum will take place online, from October 19th to 23rd.
Considering Lebanon’s unprecedented crisis, the Institut français, in collaboration with the Institut français du Liban, supports Lebanese artists thanks to the deployment of exceptional residency opportunities in France through its program at the Cité internationale des arts.
From October 2020, eight Lebanese artists will be in residence in Paris for a period of three months in order to develop a research and creation project. These artists, coming from all artistic disciplines, will be supported by the Institut français for the development of their projects.
For the new school year in September 2020, the Institut français is launching a new platform to promote film education in Europe, the European Film Factory, supported by the MEDIA sub-programme of the Creative Europe programme.
The programme has been developed in partnership with ARTE Education, subsidiary of ARTE, the European cultural television channel behind the digital education service Educ’ARTE, and European Schoolnet, a not-for-profit organisation which brings together thirty-four Education Ministries in Europe.
The European Film Factory invites anyone with an interest in film education to join the online event “Welcome to the European Film Factory - Cinema Is The New School” on 13 October at 16:00 CEST to 18:00 CET.
With the utmost vigilance with regard to the health situation, and within the framework of its support of the cultural and creative industries, the Institut français is making every effort to support the artistic creation and launches a call for applications for its programme at the Cité internationale des arts for residencies of three or six months, between April 2021 and April 2022. The call for applications is opened until November 30th, 2020, included.
