From 10 June to 2 October 2022 in Paris, as part of the France-Portugal 2022 Season, the Al Thani Collection Foundation, the Centre des monuments nationaux and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation are presenting the exhibition Gulbenkian Revealed: in the Collector’s Private Realm, in the temporary exhibitions gallery of the Al Thani Collection at the Hôtel de la Marine.
We look back at the event held on Kulturnatt (Night of Culture) 2022 on 23 April, by the Institut français in Sweden at the Résidence de France. Kulturnatt is an evening event organised by the City of Stockholm, giving the public an opportunity to discover different cultural institutions that open especially for the occasion from 6 pm to midnight.
For this year’s event, the Institut français in Sweden wanted to create an interactive exhibition at the Broms palace based on the digital world and encompassing scientific, artistic and historical disciplines. In the magnificent salons of the Résidence, science, art and video gaming come together through three installations – The Brain: Dreams/Playful Media, re|thread: cyber|glow and Micro-Folies – which explore our relationship with reality and new technologies. A unique opportunity for visitors to explore the residence of the French Ambassador through a brand new dimension!
The project Cyber Dreams // Glowing Trip - Kulturnatt 2022 is supported by the Institut français as part of the "European Creativity" call for projects launched to mark the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (FPEU) in the first half of 2022. An article presenting all the projects supported is being published specially for Europe Day on 9 May.
What will the global French-language book market look like in 2030 or 2050? This is the projection that BearingPoint carried out for the General Assembly of French-language books Around the World.
The promotion of linguistic diversity is one of the priorities of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union. In order to give concrete expression to these commitments and to support the action of diplomatic posts in this field throughout the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Institut français is producing a communication kit for social networks in favour of multilingualism.
The communication tools produced can be deployed from 16 March on the social networks of the cultural services of embassies, establishments in the cultural network and their European counterparts in the EUNIC network in order to reach a wide audience and, in priority, young Europeans.
