The Institut français programmes and projects
As part of its action to support cultural and creative industries, the Institut français launches a call for applications for its programme at the Cité internationale des arts for residencies of three or six months, between April 2022 and April 2023. The call for applications is opened until November 15, 2021, included.
Tunis will host the General Assembly on French-Language books around the world on 23 and 24 September 2021. The General Assembly was announced in the Plan for the French language and multilingualism presented by the President of the Republic in March 2018, and forms one of the highlights of the 50th anniversary of La Francophonie and is part of the context of the Heads of State Summit to be held in November 2021 in Djerba. The challenge of this event is to contribute to developing access for all French-speaking publics to books and reading by removing the obstacles identified in producing, distributing and circulating French books, works and authors in the world. The event will be broadcast live on this page, from 10.30 am (Paris time) on 23 September 2021.
University researcher and radio journalist Alice Lefilleul presents the first season of the podcast Autrement dit, a co-production between the Institut français and the association Making Waves.
The European Film Factory is celebrating its first year of existence with a symposium on film education from July 26 to 28, 2021 in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) in partnership with the EducaTIFF section of the Transylvania International Film Festival (TIFF).
This European meeting is divided in two parts, and is an opportunity to highlight the importance of film education in the school and extra-curricular life of young Europeans.
The Institut français and its partners France Médias Monde, the Société des Auteurs, Compositeurs et Éditeurs de Musique (SACEM) and the Organisation internationale de la Francophonie will feature at the Cannes Festival with a hybrid programme.
The Les Cinémas du monde pavilion will host La Fabrique Cinéma 2021 for the continuation of its artistic and professional meetings broadcast on the Marché du Film virtual pavilion.
